|1⅔ cup||Chicken stock|
|1 teaspoon||Dried basil leaves; crushed|
|¼ teaspoon||Garlic powder|
|¼ teaspoon||Hot pepper sauce|
|1 pounds||Canned stewed tomatoes|
|¾ cup||Uncooked long grain rice|
|1 cup||Frozen peas|
|2 cups||Cooked turkey or chicken; cubed|
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low.
2. Cover and cook 20 minutes. Stir in peas and turkey.
3. Cover and cook 5 minutes more or until rice is done and most of liquid is absorbed.
