Place butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Heat in oven until melted, watching carefully, about 3 to 4 mins. Remove pan from oven; stir in crumbs until thorouhgly moistened. Spread evenly in pan, pressing gently with back of fork or spoon to form crust. 2. Sprinkle coconut evenly over crumb mixture; then sprinkle nuts and white chocolate chunks on top.
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over all. 3. Bake 23 to 25 mins, or until golden brown. Let cool in pan. Cut into 40 ( 1½ x 1 ¾-inch) bars.
Variation: BITTERSWEET MACADAMIA BARS Substitute 1 ½ cups ( about 9 ozs) bittersweet chocolate chunks for white chocolate chunks. Proceed with recipe as directed above.
Personal note: Try substituting ½ of the white chocolate with an equal amount of bittersweet chocolate for a black and white effect.
