|2 bunches||Watercress; leaves only, roughly chopped|
|1 cup||Sour cream|
|2 teaspoons||Fresh lemon juice|
|1 dash||Tabasco sauce|
|¼ teaspoon||Freshly-ground black pepper|
|½ cup||Mayonnaise; preferably homemade|
In a blender, combine the watercress, sour cream, lemon juice, tabasco, salt, and pepper. Puree until smooth, then transfer to a bowl and stir in the mayonnaise. This recipe yields 1½ cups of mayonnaise.
