Vinegar icing

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup White sugar
⅔ cup Water
⅛ teaspoon Cream of tartar
2 Egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 tablespoons Vinegar

Combine all ingredients except flavoring and eggs. Boil to soft ball stage (236 F). Pour slowly, beating constantly, onto egg whites. Add flavoring. Continue beating until thick and creamy.
