Measure | Ingredient |

1 large | Onions, sweet |
½ cup | Water |
4 tablespoons | Sugar |
4 tablespoons | Vinegar |
4 tablespoons | Mayonnaise, eggless |
½ teaspoon | Salt, celery |
Thinly slice onions. Combine onions, water, sugar, and vinegar; marinate overnight.
Before serving, drain and pat dry. Toss with mayonnaise and salt.
Serve on party rye.
