Turnips with gravy

Measure Ingredient

4 medium sized turnips peeled and cut in pieces; cook with enough water to cover turnipsp, season with little salt and a pinch of sugar. When cooked tender, take 1 T. shortening in a skillet and 1 T.

flour, brown nicely, then pour the turnip juice in and make gravy.

Add your turnips and simmer for few minutes.
