Mashed turnip

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Turnip, peeled, boiled & mashed
2 tablespoons Ghee
½ teaspoon Grated ginger
1 medium Onion, finely chopped
2 mediums Tomatoes, quartered
2 eaches Green chilies, chopped
½ teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Garam masala
Salt
1 pinch Sugar
1 tablespoon Cilantro

Heat ghee in a skillet. Saute ginger & onion till golden. Add tomatoes, chilies, cumin & garam masala. Mix in turnip, add salt & blend.

Keep pan over moderate heat & stir for about 10 minutes. Add sugar & blend again. Serve hot, topped with cilantro.
