¼cupButter or margarine
¼cupAll-purpose flour
1teaspoonSugar
cupChicken broth
¼cupMilk
3cupsChicken -- or turkey cooked
1canMushroom stems and pieces --
Drained
8eachesToast slices -- or pastry

Directions

In a skillet, saute the onion, celery and green pepper in butter until tender. Stir in flour and sugar until a paste forms. Gradually stir in broth. Bring to a boil; boil 1 min. Reduce heat. Add milk, turkey and mushrooms; heat through. Serve either in pastry shells or over toast.

Yield: 8 servings.
