Yield: 8 Servings
|1 medium||Bell pepper; chopped|
|2||Cloves garlic; minced|
|Salt and pepper to taste|
|2 pounds||Okra; cut in 1/2-inch pieces|
|1 small||Onion; chopped|
|2 pounds||Fresh tomatoes; peeled, cubed|
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from grease. Cook okra in drippings and add green pepper, onion and garlic to drippings. Stir in tomatoes and cooked bacon. Add salt and pepper as needed. Cover skillet and cook 15 minutes.
