Tomato juice cocktail - sl 1/90

Ingredients

1each46-oz can tomato juice
1tablespoonInstant minced onion
1tablespoonSugar
1teaspoonBon appetit seasoning
1teaspoonPowdered horseradish
teaspoonPepper
1eachBay leaf
6eachesWhole cloves
2eachesWhole allspice
3tablespoonsWhite vinegar

Directions

Combine all ingredients except vinegar in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat; stir in vinegar, and let cool. Strain and discard bay leaf, cloves, and allspice. Cover and chill 3 to 4 hours. Pour beverage into glasses. Yield: about 6 cups.
