Tahoe brunch

Measure Ingredient
12 slices White Bread Slices -- crusts
\N \N Removed
3 tablespoons Butter -- to spread on
\N \N Bread
½ cup Butter
½ pounds Mushrooms
2 cups Onions -- finely chopped
1 pounds Italian Sausage
1 pounds Cheddar Cheese -- grated
5 \N Whole Eggs
2½ cup Milk
1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
3 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
\N \N Salt And Pepper -- to taste

Butter bread, set aside.

Melt ½ cup butter, saute onions & mushrooms.

Grease 13 x 9 casserole. Layer ½ bread, mushrooms & onions, sausage, & cheese.

Mix eggs, milk, mustards, nutmeg, salt, & pepper. Pour over casserole, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
