Yield: 1 Servings
|¼ cup||Thinly sliced green onions|
|1 pack||(16 oz) ready to use broccoli slaw or 1 small head of cabbage. (If your kids don't like broccoli, this is a great way to disguise it. Or tell 'em its what the dragons eat or whatever new fad they are in to).|
|1||Clove garlic; peeled & minced|
|2 teaspoons||Sesame oil|
|¼ cup||Rice vinegar|
|2 tablespoons||Soy sauce|
|¼ teaspoon||Hot red pepper flakes|
The Idaho Power sends a recipe each month with its bill. I suppose they hope it will reduce the sting you get when you read the amount of the bill.
However, I have always found that their recipes are good, so here is one: (I left red pepper flakes out because I don't like too much of that kind of heat in what I eat.)
Place green onion and broccoli slaw or shredded cabbage in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine dressing ingredients and sg\tir well. Pour over salad and toss well. Cover and marinate for two hours in the refrigerator. Serves six.
