Sour cream cookies

Yield: 18 cookies

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup Shortening
½ cup Sour cream
1 \N Egg
2 cups Flour
2 cups Nuts, chopped
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
½ teaspoon Baking soda
2 teaspoons Baking powder

Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten egg and nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture alternately with cream mixture. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven until lightly browned. Submitted By ROBERT WHITE On 11-16-94
