Roy's crockpot kraut & pork chops

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
8.00 \N Thick center cut pork chops
1.00 can Vlasic sauerkraut (rinsed)
2.00 \N Tart apples (1/2\" slices)
8.00 ounce Dry white wine or beer
1.00 tablespoon Caraway seeds
1.00 teaspoon Fresh ground black pepper
2.00 \N Yellow onions (sliced)
2.00 \N Bay leaves

Place two chops in bottom of crock pot. Sprinkle chops with caraway seeds and pepper. Cover chops with onion slices. Cover onion slices with apples. Cover apples with kraut. Repeat until pot is full or you're out of ingredients. Add the bay leaves and sprinkle wine over the whole thing.

Cook on high for 6 - 8 hours or until chops are very tender and falling off the bones.

Country style ribs may be substituted for pork chops. In fact, I like 'em better.

This is a very flexible recipe. Feel free to add or subtract stuff.

If you like garlic, hell, add it. You can't really hurt anything.
