Rosalyn carter's peanut brittle

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Raw peanuts
1 cup White corn syrup
2 tablespoons Soda
¼ cup Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla
cup Water
3 cups Sugar

Directions

Boil sugar, water and syrup until mixture spins thread; add peanuts. After adding peanuts, stir continually until syrup turn golden brown. Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients and stir until butter melts. Pour quickly on 2 cookie sheets with sides. As mixture begins to harden around edges, pull until thin.
