Quick white sauce

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons Flour
\N \N Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Chopped parsley
1 cup Milk or half & half
2 tablespoons Chopped chives
1 teaspoon Lemon juice


In a one quart sauce pan, over low heat, melt butter. Add flour and stir for 3 to 4 minutes or until well blended. Stir in milk slowly; cook, stirring constantly until thickened and smooth. Add one or more of the extras to alter the taste. Serve over vegetables or fish.
