Quick meat sauce for spaghetti

Yield: 1 Quart

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Olive Oil
1 \N Clove Garlic, Pressed
1 pounds Ground Beef
¼ pounds Lean Pork, Ground
2 cups Plum Tomatoes
½ cup Tomato Paste
½ cup Beef Stock
1½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 \N Bay Leaf
½ cup Mushrooms, Sliced
\N \N Basil and/or Oregano
\N \N Parmesan Cheese

Heat olive oil in a medium sized pot. When hot, add garlic, meat, tomatoes, tomato paste, stock, salt, pepper and the bay leaf. Simmer uncovered for at least one hour. Add the mushrooms during the last 15 minutes. Season with basil and/or oregano and serve over pasta. Grate parmesan cheese over each serving.
