Printemps chowder

Ingredients

1cupShelled new peas; (1 pound) ( I have used frozen)
cupFinely sliced green onions; including tender tops
1cupWater
1cupRaw potatoes; cut in 1/4-inch cubes
1teaspoonSalt
2tablespoonsButter
1tablespoonFlour
cupMilk
¼cupQuartered; thinly sliced radishes
1tablespoonChopped parsley

Directions

Cook peas and onions in water uncovered for 10 minutes. Add potatoes and salt. Continue cooking 6 to 8 minutes. Blend butter and flour over low heat, add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Combine with peas, potatoes and their liquid. SIMMER 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
