Pork chops with waldorf rice

| 4¾ | Inch lean pork chops, trimmed | |
| Salt and pepper to taste | ||
| ¾ | cup | Rice |
| 1 | cup | Apple, cubed |
| 1 | cup | Celery, diced |
| ¼ | cup | Onion, minced |
Directions
(Favorite Recipes of Home Economics Teachers) Season chops with salt and pepper. Brown in skillet. Place chops in casserole dish. Dissolve ½ teaspoon salt in 2 cups water and pour over chops. Spread rice evenly over chops. Cover with apple, celery and onion.
Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until chops are tender.
Serves 4.
