Pesto toasts^

Yield: 24 servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ cup Fresh basil leaves
2 cloves Garlic
½ cup Olive oil
1 cup Grated Parmesan
5 tablespoons Mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste
1 French or sourdough baguette
Cut in twenty four slices
24 Fresh basil leaves for
Garnis, optional

Finely chop garlic and basil in processor. Gradually pour in oil while machine is running; process until smooth. Mix in cheese.

In a bowl, whisk together pesto and mayonnaise; season.

Preheat broiler. Lightly brown one side of bread on one side. Spread pesto on untoasted side to within ¼" of edges. Broil until bubbly, do not burn. Garnish, if desired.
