Peppy cheese filled hamburgers

Measure Ingredient
1½ pounds Ground beef
¼ cup Dry bread crumbs
1 \N Small onion,finely chopped
1 \N Egg
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Shredded American cheese
¼ cup Shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Prepared mustard
¼ teaspoon Pepper


Mix all ingredients except fillings. Shape mixture into 12 thin patties, about 3½ inches in diameter. Top each of 6 patties with a filling, spreading to within ½ inch of edge. Cover with a remaining patty, seating edges firmly. Broil or grill patties 4 inches from heat, turning once, to desired doneness, about 10 minutes.
