Oatmeal gingersnaps

Ingredients

| 1½ | cup | Flour |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| ¾ | cup | Quick cooking oats |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
| 1 | teaspoon | Ground ginger |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Ground cloves |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | cup | Shortening |
| ¼ | cup | Molasses |
| 2 | Egg | |
Directions
In large bowl, stir together first seven ingredients. Blend in shortening, molasses, eggs. Beat well for 2 minutes. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar, place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375 8-10 minutes. Take out of oven. Let stand for 1 minute. Cool on rack. Makes 3½ dozen.
