Nectarine duff

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Butter
1 cup Flour
3 teaspoons Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Sugar
⅔ cup Milk
6 \N Nectarines, peeled and sliced thick

Melt the butter in an 8" square baking pan. In a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Gradually add milk and stir until flour mixture is just moistened.

Spoon the batter evenly into the melted butter. Arrange the nectarine slices in rows on top of the batter. Bake 35 minutes at 375'F. and serve lightly warm.
