Cut the tortillas into 6ths and fry in about 1" of canola oil until golden brown and crisp. Drain well. Plan to use about 4 tostados (fried tortilla chips) per person Set the tostados out on a baking pan. On each triangle, put a dollop of mashed frijoles On each mound of frijoles place one slice of jalapeño Sprinkle a little grated cheese over all Bake at 450 degrees until the cheese melts and the beans are hot.
