Mushroom and bacon sauce

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
30 grams Butter
1 \N Onion; peeled and chopped
1 \N Clove garlic; peeled & crushed
4 \N Rashers bacon; rind removed &
\N \N Chopped
185 grams Button mushrooms; sliced
2 tablespoons Flour
1 cup Milk
¼ cup Cream
1 tablespoon Chopped fresh parsley
\N \N Freshly ground black pepper; to taste

I. Melt butter in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until onion is golden.

2. Stir in bacon and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

3. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.

4. Blend in flour and cook for 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and gradually stir in milk and cream. Return pan to heat and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce boils and thickens. Stir in parsley and black pepper to taste and serve with your favorite pasta.

Makes 2 cups .
