Monterey jack bread

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 \N Loaf French bread; cut in half lengthwise
½ cup Butter
\N \N Garlic salt to taste
1 can (3-oz) chopped green chilies; drained
¼ pounds Monterey Jack cheese; grated
½ cup Mayonnaise

Preheat oven to 400ø. Melt butter in a saucepan and add garbc salt and green chilies. Mix the cheese and mayonnaise together. Spread the butter mixture on the 2 lengths of bread, then spread with the cheese and mayonnaise mixture. Place on a cookie sheet and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Slice into serving pieces. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
