Mom's white clam sauce

4tablespoonsOlive oil
4tablespoonsButter
2clovesGarlic; minced
2tablespoonsShallots; minced
¼teaspoonBlack pepper; fresh ground
½cupParsley; chopped
3cansMinced clams; 6 1/2oz each,
. including 1/2 cup juice

Directions

Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet. Add the garlic and shallots, and saute until golden. Add the remaining ingredients, heat thoroughly and serve over pasta.
