Mom's easy bean bake

Ingredients

cupDry great northern beans, (about 1 pound)
1teaspoonSalt
1poundsSliced bacon, cooked, crumbled
1cupPacked brown sugar
3tablespoonsMolasses
3smallsOnions, chopped

Directions

Place beans and salt in a saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil; boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain, reserving liquid. Combine beans, 1 cup liquid and the remaining ingredients in a greased 2½-qt baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 ¼ hours for until beans are tender, stirring occasionally (add additional reserved liquid if needed).
