Meringue tarts with strawberries

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
½ teaspoon Baking powder
⅛ teaspoon Salt
3 eaches Egg whites
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Vinegar
1 teaspoon Water
1 each Fresh sliced strawberries

Sift the sugar with the baking powder and salt.

Combine the liquids. Add the sugar, ½ t at time, to the egg whites, alternating with a few drops of the liquid, beating constantly. When all combined, continue to beat for several minutes.

Place large spoonfuls on baking sheet and shape into shallow cups.

Bake at 225F for 45 min. to 1 hr. Remove the meringues form the sheet quickly and cool them on rack. Fill with strawberries. Cal: 122, Fat: trace.
