Mayonnaise (whole egg)

Ingredients

| 1 | Egg | |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | teaspoon | Prepared mustard |
| ½ | tablespoon | Sugar (up to) |
| 1¼ | cup | Salad oil |
| 2 | tablespoons | Lemon juice or vinegar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Hot water |
Directions
Beat egg well. Add seasonings; then beat well. Add ¼ cup oil; beat until thick. Add the rest a little at a time. Last of all add the water. It can also be made using only the yolk.
