Marvelous macaroons #2

Yield: 30 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2⅔ cup Angel flake coconut
⅔ cup Sugar
¼ cup All purpose flour
¼ teaspoon Salt
4 \N Egg whites
1 teaspoon Almond extract
1 cup Chopped almonds

Date: Wed, 19 Jun 1996 17:14:32 -0500 From: Elizabeth Dye <lizdye@...> Combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl. Stir in egg whites and almond extract. Stir in chopped almonds. Mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheet. Garnish with candied cherry halves, if desired. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until edges of cookies are brown. Remove from baking sheets immediately. Makes 2½ dozen.
