Marinated sirloin kabobs

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Lemon-lime carbonated beverage (like 7-up; or sprite)
¼ cup Dry sherry
¼ cup Soy sauce
3 tablespoons Sugar
3 tablespoons White vinegar
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
2 pounds Sirloin steak; cut into 1" cubes
2 cups Cherry tomatoes
2 mediums Carrots; cut into eighths
½ pounds Fresh mushroom caps
2 mediums Size green peppers; cut into 1" pieces
1 small Pineapple; cut into 1" pieces

Combine first 8 ingredients in a large shallow bowl. Add beef cubes, cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove beef cubes from marinade, reserving marinade. Alternately thread beef cubes, tomatoes, onions, mushroom caps, green pepper and pineapple onto skewers.

Grill, covered, over medium-hot coals (350 degrees to 400 degrees) 10-12 minutes or to desired degree of doneness, turning and basting occasionally with reserved marinade. Makes 4-5 servings.
