Marinated mirliton

10 | tablespoons | Vinegar (cider) |
½ | teaspoon | Thyme, powdered |
2 | tablespoons | Salt |
1 | cup | Corn oil |
½ | teaspoon | Oregano, powdered |
½ | teaspoon | Red pepper flakes |
Garlic cloves (whole) as desired. | ||
Garlic powder to taste |
Directions
Peel and remove seed from mirlitons and cut into bite size pieces.
In lge. pot of boiling water, place mirlitons and cook for no more than 3 min. Drain and cool. Make up marinade and pour over mirlitons.
