1 tablespoon | Shortening |
3 tablespoons | Sugar |

1 cup | Sifted cake flour |
2 teaspoons | Baking Powder |

½ cup | Milk |
Heat Maple sirup to boiling and pour into a greased baking dish. Cream shortening, add sugar and cream together until fluffy. Add beaten egg and mix well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add alternately with milk in small amounts, beating well afteer each addition. Pour into hot sirup and bake in hot oven (400F) about 25 minutes.
