Measure | Ingredient |

1½ cup | Sugar |
½ cup | Lemon juice |
6 \N | Egg yolks; beaten |
½ cup | Flour, all-purpose |
1 cup | Water; heated |
½ \N | Stick butter |
Mix sugar and flour; add lemon juice and mix until smooth. Add eggs and mix well. Add hot water gradually and cook until smooth and thick over low heat - stir with a wooden spoon. Add butter and beat until ready to spread.
