Beat with an electric mixer on medium until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 mins. Beat in egg and 1 tsp vanilla until blended. Add flour and beat until well blended.
Press dough evenly in bottom of a foil-lined 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Bake 16 to 18 mins, or until light golden. Let cool 10 to 15 mins. 2.
Meanwhile, in a 1-qt glass bowl, combine chocolate chips and corn syrup. Heat in microwave on High 1 to 1 ½ mins, stirring until smooth. Stir in remaining 1 Tbs butter and remaining ½ tsp vanilla until blended. 3. Spread chocolate mixture evenly over baked crust.
Sprinkle nuts over top; press in gently. Refrigerate until set, 2 to 3 hours. Cut into 45 squares.
