Honey almond cereal [a/k/a granola]

Ingredients

½cupHoney
½cupHot water
1teaspoonAlmond extract
4cupsRolled oats
1cupGrape Nuts cereal
½cupWheat germ
½cupChopped almonds; cashews or walnuts
½cupRaisins

Directions

Mix honey, water, almond extract. Add rolled oats, Grape nuts, wheat germ and nuts. Using hands, blend both mixtures until thoroughly combined.

Spread on cookie sheet to depth of ½ inch. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, until golden, stirring once after 30 minutes. Let back, then add the raisins. Cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes 16½-cup servings.
