Holiday nuts

Measure Ingredient
10 ounces Giant pecan halves
24 ounces Deluxe mixed nuts
1 Egg white
1 cup Sugar
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ pounds Butter

Place nuts in a 9 x 12-inch cake pan. Roast at 225 degrees for 30 minutes.

While roasting, beat egg white stiff; fold in sugar and salt; fold nuts in.

Melt butter at 350 degrees in a 9 x 12-inch pan; pour coated nuts to coat.

Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees, stirring every 5 to 10 minutes, then drain on paper towel.
