1 | tablespoon | Lemon peel -- grated |
⅛ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |

4 | mediums | Apples -- peeled and sliced |
2 | cups | Fresh cranberries |
½ | cup | Dates -- chopped and pitted |
⅓ | cup | Walnuts -- chopped |

Directions
In slow-cooking pot, combine wine, butter, sukgar, lemon peel, and spices.
Add apples and cranberriess. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Stir in dates and walnuts. Serve warm or cold. Delicious with topping of sour cream or used as a sundae sauce for ice cream.
