|2 ounces||Vegetable margarine|
|1 \N||Finely chopped onion|
|4 ounces||Mushrooms; chopped (optional)|
|5 ounces||Rolled oats|
|6 ounces||Finely grated carrot|
|5 ounces||Vegetarian cheese; grated|
|1 \N||Free range egg; beaten|
|1 \N||Clove garlic; crushed (optional)|
|1 tablespoon||Soya sauce|
|1 tablespoon||Tomato sauce or pure|
|\N \N||Salt and black pepper to taste|
1. Preheat oven to 170øC/325øF/gas mark 3.
2. Melt the margarine in a pan. Gently cook the onion and mushrooms for 5 minutes. Transfer them to a mixing bowl and add all the other ingredients.
3. Season to taste with salt and pepper and mix well. Press mixture into a greased, shallow baking tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
4. Cut into 20 small squares and serve.
