Herb and sausage orzo

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Olive oil
½ cup Finely-chopped onion
1 tablespoon Finely-chopped garlic
1 cup Orzo pasta -; (1/2 lb)
1 teaspoon Salt
Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
¼ cup Assorted chopped fresh herbs
(such as basil; parsley, and thyme)
3½ cup Chicken stock
¼ cup Chopped smoked sausage
1 tablespoon Unsalted butter; softened

Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ?? servings.
