½cupfinely-chopped onion
1.00tablespoonfinely-chopped garlic
1.00cuporzo pasta -; (1/2 lb)
1.00teaspoonsalt
1freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
¼cupassorted chopped fresh herbs
1(such as basil; parsley, and thyme)
cupchicken stock
¼cupchopped smoked sausage
1.00tablespoonunsalted butter; softened

Directions

Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper.

Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ?? servings.
