|½ cup||finely-chopped onion|
|1.00 tablespoon||finely-chopped garlic|
|1.00 cup||orzo pasta -; (1/2 lb)|

|¼ cup||assorted chopped fresh herbs|
|1 \N||(such as basil; parsley, and thyme)|
|3½ cup||chicken stock|
|¼ cup||chopped smoked sausage|
|1.00 tablespoon||unsalted butter; softened|
Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper.
Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ?? servings.
