Heavenly frozen-fruit salad

1 | teaspoon | Unflavored gelatine |
2 | tablespoons | Lemon juice |
1 | (3oz ) pk soft cream cheese | |
¼ | cup | Mayonnaise |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
½ | cup | Heavy cream, whipped |
¼ | cup | Chopped nuts |
¼ | cup | Quartered maraschino cherries |
1 | each | Drained No, 2 can crushed pineapple; or 1 drained No. 303 can fruit |
Cocktail; or 1 3/4 cups mixed, sliced fresh fruit | ||
Turn refrigerator to 70's coldest setting. Soften gelatine in lemon juice in | ||
Glass measuring cup. Set cup in pan of boiling water, stirring | ||
Occasionally, till gelatine dissolves. Add to combined cheese, mayonnaise, | ||
Salt, and sugar. Fold in rest of ingredients. Pour into ice-cube tray; | ||
Freeze just until firm. Slice; serve on crisp greens. | ||
