Healthy whole wheat waffles

1 | cup | Wheat germ |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
1 | tablespoon | Baking powder |
½ | tablespoon | Ground nutmeg |
½ | cup | Oil (scant) |
2 | cups | Milk |
4 | Egg whites | |
½ | cup | Milk chocolate chips - optional |

Date: Mon, 5 Jun 1995 03:15:41 GMT Mix all of above ingredients together well. Mixture will be thick. Pour into prepared waffle iron and add chocolate chips ,if desired, just before baking.
Note: Adding chocolate chips to your batter usually results in the chips dropping to the bottom of the batter. It is preferable to add them as you prepare each waffle, adding as many as desired.
