Hamburger or hot dog relish

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
4 cups Chopped onions
1 medium Cabbage chopped
4 cups Green tomatoes, chopped
12 eaches Green peppers, chopped
6 eaches Red peppers, chopped
½ cup Salt
6 cups Sugar
1 tablespoon Celery seed
2 tablespoons Mustard seed
1½ teaspoon Tumeric
4 cups Cider vinegar
2 cups Water

Vegetables can be chopped by hand, or in food processor. Sprinkle salt over the chopped vegetables, and let stand overnight. In morning, drain and rinse until water runs clear. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil, and pour over vegetables. Bring back to boil again, and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Pack into clean, sterilized jars and seal.
