Hamburger helper tvp mix

Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
1Onion; sliced into thin rings
1cupTvp granules; rehydrated with
1cupBoiling water and
2tablespoonsSteak sauce
2cupsUncooked elbow macaroni
¼Cupunbleached flour
2cupsWater
1cupWater or low-fat or non-fat soy milk

Directions

1. Place the onion and tvp in a 2-½ quart microwave casserole with lid.

Cover and cook on high until the onion is soft, about five minutes.

2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to blend.

3. Cover and cook on high until the pasta is tender, about ten minutes.

4. Remove and check for doneness. Add a little more water or soy milk if the sauce is too thick

5. Season with your favorite herbs or non-fat soy Parmesan if desired.

Serves four.
