Yield: 3 Or 4
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
¼ cup | Butter; melted |
2 tablespoons | Brown Sugar; firmly packed |
1 tablespoon | Lemon Juice |
½ teaspoon | Cinnamon |
¼ teaspoon | Nutmeg |
3 mediums | Cooking Apples; peeled, halved and cored |
In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Prepare a charcoal grill for indirect medium-heat cooking, or prepare a gas grill for medium-low heat.
Place the prepared apples on the grill grate and brush with the prepared sauce. If you prefer, place a foil tin on the grill to reduce the dripping and potential flare-ups from the butter on the grill.
Grill for about 30 minutes or until tender, turning and brushing with the sauce at least twice. Serve warm; it's fantastic plain or served with ice cream or whipped cream.
