Green peas with new potatoes^

2slicesSalt pork
1poundsOr so new potatoes
2cupsGreen peas
Water
Salt and pepper to taste
1tablespoonTo 2 flour
1cupMilk

Directions

Dice up salt pork and fry a little in a kettle. Add potatoes, peas and enough water. When tender, pour off all but about ½ cup water.

Season with salt and pepper, add milk and thicken with flour. If you put the milk into a jar with the flour and shake it well, the sauce won't get lumpy.
