Glazed pecans

Yield: 2 cups

Measure Ingredient
\N \N Butter or margarine
2 cups Pecan halves, walnut halves or cashews
½ cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Vanilla

Line a baking sheet with foil. Butter the foil, then set baking sheet aside.

In a heavy 10-inch skillet combine nuts, sugar, and butter or margarine. Cook and stir over medium heat for 8 to 9 minutes or till sugar melts and turns a rich brown color.

Remove skillet from heat. Immediately stir in vanilla. Spread nut mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Cool. Break up mixture into clusters. Store tightly covered. Makes 2 cups.
