Fruited dessert ring

Measure Ingredient
1 can Pear halves(16oz)
Boiling water
1 pack Lime-flavored gelatin(3oz)
1 cup Sweet white wine

Heat reserved pear syrup to boiling; add enough boiling water to measure 1½ cups. Pour boiling liquid on gelatin; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in wine. Refrigerate uncovered until gelatin begins to thicken, about 1 ½ hours.

Cut pear halves into ½-inch pieces; fold into thickened gelatin.

Pour into 6-cup ring mold. Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 ½ hours; unmold. From: Michael Orchekowski Date: 09-17-94
